Cherry Blossoms
I took these picture this afternoon. I just love them!



Japan gave 3,020 cherry blossom trees as a gift to the United States in 1912 to celebrate the nations' then-growing friendship, replacing an earlier gift of 2000 trees which had to be destroyed due to disease in 1910. French Apple Tart
It was delicious and easy to make. The only thing I didn't like about it was the use of too much butter.

I sliced them to cubes then cooked and freeze them for my dogs treats. 

 The trail where I love to take my dogs for walks. Abby can run around free without leash, she minds me well. Farcom however is unpredictable, smart, and hardheaded so he has to be on leash at all times even if he has to drag his leash with him.

Hanging Bridge - No More!
I had so many memories crossing this bridge. This was the only bridge that would take us from town to our farm. I remember when I was little, my dad would carry me and my brother, both at the same time and crossed this bridge. It's sad to see that this bridge is gone, no more. The government improvised and built a bigger bridge that even a big vehicle can cross. I guess that's what life is. Nothing can and should remain the same forever, only God's love! I am just thankful and happy for the memories.

My husband and I ate at the buffet restaurant last week, it was the first time in a long time. We didn't pig out but we surely ate a lot of tasty and yummy but not so good food. On top of eating at the buffet restaurant, I baked chocolate banana cake and few days later I made this yummy strawberry cream cheese pie, and we had some ice cream few times last week.
Every Sunday morning is when we weight in to see where we're at. Well, my husband gained One pound and I've only lost .02lb What a bummer! Anyway, back to eating healthy again.
Strawberry Jello Cream Cheese Pie

2 pie crust = I would have like to use nuts for my crust but I don't have the chopper anymore. Pretzel or graham crackers are both higher on glycemic index. Therefore, I've decided to use the ready to bake pie crust. I bake the empty crust according to the instructions.
1/4 cup  sugar
1-1/2 pkg.  (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
2 Tbsp. milk
1 cup  thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
2 cups boiling water
1 pkg.  (6 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
1-1/2 cups cold water
4 cups  fresh strawberries, sliced
  1. Bake the empty pie crust for few minutes and let it cool - follow the crust instructions 
  2. Mix and blend together the cream cheese, sugar and milk. 
  3. Stir in cool whip and spread over crust. Refrigerate.
  4. Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened 
  5. Add the strawberries to the Jello mixture and pour over the cream cheese pie  and refrigerate for at least 5 hours or until firm.

    I was amazed and very happy to observed this two birds sharing a sunflower seed. These pictures were taken from the living room. The bird feeder is just right outside the windows.
