My Life with Photographs

Day after Christmas, my family and I took a winter drive to Anchorage on the Parks highway. It's about 360 miles from Fairbanks to Anchorage. When we left home it was -18 degree Fahrenheit at around 10:35 a.m. gloomy and cold. When we arrived in Anchorage the temperature was 14 degrees Fahrenheit should be a lot warmer but the wind made it very cold. Cold to the bone. Oh I love Alaska! Just outside Fairbanks. It was cloudy but at least it wasn't snowy nor windy Bridge in Nenana - about 56 miles from Fairbanks Three Bears store in Healy - about 112 miles from Fairbanks Tatlanika Bridge Train Bridge to the right Denali Townsite is like a ghost town.  Nothings opened and even traffic lights were covered.  About 123 miles from Fairbanks Welcome to Cantwell about 152 miles from Fairbanks You must have blinked - Cantwell Very windy most of the way  At least part of the way the sun gave us great show. A year ago today, my husband and I were in Thailand celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Now for our 21st, we are in the winter wonderland, Fairbanks, Alaska. With so many great things that happened to us this year, there were also many challenges, trials, and heartaches that we've encountered. Being together for many years, I can say it's not hard to be comfortable. In fact, we've gotten too comfortable that we ended up taking each other for granted. For being too comfortable we've almost lost each other and almost broke our marriage.  It shock our world, made us examined our marriage, and we ended up rewriting our relationship contract. We had to make a lot of changes and still working in progress. But with our willingness to work on it, I'm sure we can make our relationship work and get through any obstacles that comes our way. The colder it gets the more beautiful the surroundings become. This is one of the pains and the joy's of living in Fairbanks Alaska. It was -17 deg F cold today but I love how beautiful it was outside. I took some pictures  using my phone on my drive around town. Alaska Department of Fish and Game hosted a family ice fishing event at Tanana Lakes Recreation area last Saturday November 30, 2019. I went there with my husband and son to take pictures of the event but ended up having a great time ice fishing. The weather cooperated as well, it was warm around 22 °F . When Alan was about 4 years old, we took him with us ice fishing at Chena Lakes. He was too young to remember. So, this time was really his first to ice fish. He didn't catch any fish since he got bored waiting and he spent more time playing and making lots of noise. He did have a great time until it was time to go home. He didn't want to leave because he said he didn't catch any fish yet. We spent at least 2 hours there. I caught two fish and my hubby caught one. We were grateful for the the Alaska Department of Fish & Game crew for drilling holes, providing fishing equipment and baits, and helping family's had a great time ice fishing. Alaska Department of

I have been busy lately trying to get things done around the house. We are going to rent out the house and we have a month to get out of here. November 15, 2019 was my last day at work. I resigned my full time job with the Federal Government. It was a difficult decision especially leaving the people I worked with and the job that I love. It was not easy saying goodbye to people who I've grown to love, respected, and became my extended family. I have gained so much from working for Alaska Fire Service. The knowledge and awesome experiences was priceless. The support and opportunities I had given was great and will forever be grateful. Why I resigned my full time job with the Federal Government? Well, it was time for a change, time to spend time with my family and love ones. Time to travel and take photos to share. It's time to start a new chapter of my life. Alaska Fire Service I will definitely miss them

My son's bike didnt get put up in the fall in the intent of giving it away. This bicycle will be too small for him next summer. I don't know why we never got to give it away. Anyway, I just love how beautiful the snow covered bike.

With a short notice, my husband and I have managed to pull off a nice simple home wedding celebration to friends of our friends in our home. We had 4 hours to shop, clean, decorate, and prepare food. We did it and it's all good. It's wonderful to be a part of the start of this young couple's journey through life. This was after the wedding
