What is a Tulip?

Tulips are a type of flower that are native to the Netherlands. They come in many colors and sizes, with some tulips reaching up to 18 inches tall.

Tulips were first introduced to the United States in 1806 by a Dutchman named Peter Coenraad Weyenbergh. He was sent by the Dutch government as an ambassador to help build trade relations with the U.S.

The tulip is a symbol of love and beauty, but also represents rebirth and hope, which is why they are often given at funerals.
