Ziploc Bags A Must Have in My Kitchen

Although I have opt out using plastics in my home, Ziploc bags are still a must have in my kitchen. I know we can't be 100% plastic free because plastics are everywhere and can even find it in some close friends. From storing food to organizing stuff, Ziploc bags are very handy to have. I especially love using them when we go on trips. A bag for all our toothbrushes and toothpaste, a bag for bath stuff, a bag for chargers and cords, a bag for electronics to keep them dry, a bag for diapers, and more extra bags for whatever comes our way. My husband uses Ziploc bags almost everyday for his sandwiches to take for work. Even though I love Ziploc, I only use the bags, I ban using the Ziploc containers, and I don't use the bags for heating food in the microwave. #Joey Green has 25 good tips on Ziploc bag uses. He also have very good tips of using brand name products besides of what it is intended for. Informative and very good site to visit. Ziploc bags we c

YouTube Channel for My Toddler

Last month I've started a YouTube channel for my toddler with the help of my nephew who is in seven thousand miles away from me. He helped me through messages on Facebook. It was fun! Fairfern is the channel name on YouTube. A combination of 2 places that my boy have live in so far,  Fairbanks and Ferndale. I've created the channel for my toddler because I want to document and share his special moments, growing stages and his life journey to family, friends, and to who ever want to watch his cute videos. I also want to be able to share and access his videos anywhere and at anytime I want.  I know that kids grow so fast and I don't want to miss any of his.  Making, editing and uploading his videos helps me learn and grow on how to work with video editing software and YouTube. It's a learning process but I'm getting better and I find it rewarding when I see the finish product. I am just a beginner and have so much more to learn. I hope you guys will check out my lit

Xoom Reviews

I have been a Xoom customer for a long time, I believe it was since 2005. Xoom Corporation is a digital money transfer company based in San Francisco. It provides consumer remittance services to Europe, Canada, Australia, Latin America, the Philippines and India. Sending money is fast, easy, secure and so affordable. I can send up to $2999 for only $4.99 to the Philippines with converted to Philippine money with company's exchange rate.  Other option is sending it as US dollar and get what the dollar exchange rate for the day you pick it up. The fees are a little bit high, for every  $1000 the fees are $7.99 but it's worth it if I'm sending more than $500 because most of the time the actual exchange rate are higher than what the company's exchange rate. When my husband and I was in Philippines for several months, we've use Xoom to send money to us from our bank account here in US while we were over there. We did this because it was way easier and cheaper than

Whatcom Falls Park

Here are some pictures of our little adventure, on a Monday afternoon, at Whatcom Falls Park. This was our first time visit and we didn't know what trails start where or where it ends. We just follow one trail up to the water falls. We've seen 3 different falls, one is bigger the other two were small. Very nice! We followed the trail up until we saw some houses, we asked a couple who were going in to the park and they said the trail ends right there otherwise we have to go though the houses, to the main street and back to the park.  We didn't want to do that so we just turned around and head back were we came from. It was a very pleasant walk through the park. I love the water, the big tress, and everything in between. It's so green! My little boy had so much fun, walking, running, and climbing up the steps. Given up the chance, he would have love to play in the water. Maybe some other time. Whatcom Falls Park established in 1908 by the community. It is located at 14

Visionex cured my bad eyesight

After I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis (inflamed lymph nodes in my lungs) back in 2005, my eyesight went bad. I had to wear eyeglasses in order for me to drive or just to see someone's face clearly even just a few feet away from me. Wearing eyeglasses In 2011, my husband and I went overseas and there I've learned a lot about Visionex from USANA. I started taking it religiously and after 2 months I saw progress and after 3 months I can see well without using my eyeglasses. In fact, I am free of it until now. Prescription Sunglasses +USANA formulated Visionex with lutein, zeaxanthin, and bilberry extract work together to help the retina. Visionex also contains vitamin C along with other nutrients to help maintain the structure of the lens. Fruits from Gasmin Farm

I was searching through my old posts and on my drafts I found this picture. These are all organic fruits from our family farm, The Gasmin Farm. Here we have banana "saging" , Tordan is the name of this banana. It is the best kind of banana I've ever tasted, sweet and so yummy, I wish we have them here in the US. Round papaya , ripe perfectly from the tree, it's really good for breakfast. It taste really good and it is high in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals,  and has special digestive enzymes. Green guava "bayabas" really good with salt and spicy vinegar. I use to love them, I love climbing the tree and eat them up there everyday back when I was growing up. I don't know but somehow, even just thinking about it, gives me goose bumps. I think it's the crunchiness of the skin when I bite into it. Until now I just can't get over that feeling. Lanzones are small round or oval fruits that usually grow and hang on the big trunk or branches of t

Uncomfortable Toddler Being Constipated

I felt bad for my toddler last night, he had a hard time falling to sleep and every hour or so, he wakes up acting like he needs to use the bathroom. He was stomping his feet and groaning. I heard him passing gas, then he mumbled, and then he goes back to sleep. He did that like 5 to 6 times last night. He felt so uncomfortable and I didn't know how to help him. He finally was able to have bowel movement this morning, few minutes after we got out of bed. He had been constipated for 3 days now and didn't have any appetite to eat. All he wants to take was his milk and water, sometimes he'll take a bite or two but be lucky to get the two. I do give him apple juice everyday and give him lots of water to drink but I guess that wasn't enough for him to not be constipated. I know his lacking some fiber on his diet but how can he get it if he doesn't want to eat? Anyway, I will be on search on how and what's the best way for him get it until he gets his appetite back

Tulips in Skagit Valley

My family and I, once again, had the opportunity to visit Mt. Vernon and La Conner this spring to see the beautiful and colorful fields of Tulips and Daffodils. The tulips are like rainbows on the ground, so amazingly vibrant and layered in multi colors. The wow was the word of the day when we drove through there. Although there are other tourist spots to see, we were only able to visit the Tulip Town . The $5 entrance fee was will worth it. Walking through their fields, we got our dose of colors for the day. Here is a short video of my little cowboy in Tulip Town. I hope you enjoy watching as I had fun putting it together. Another good video of Tulip Town in Skagit Valley, includes in this video are the names of bulbs that they have for sale. It's wet here today. Thanks for stopping by Be good Be kind and  Have Fun!
