Spectacular Dantes View

It was well worth a long drive (a lonely road) to Dantes View. This was our last stop on our first day of journey to Death Valley National Park California. It was already 3:30 pm when we left the main road and it took us about 20 minutes to get there. A 13 mile paved road but the last quarter mile is 15% grade. A steep climb up but so beautiful. Vehicles over 25ft or longer are prohibited on this road. Please watch our short video  Road to Dantes View  to see the road.  There were few cars when we arrived at The Dantes View but those people were out exploring around. It wasn't crowded at all in fact we were the only ones there enjoying the 360 degrees of breathtaking view of Death Valley from 5475 ft high above Sea Level.  We didn't stay long because it was windy and cold.  It would have been nice to explore the area but it was also getting late in a day. There was a Bee Hazard caution sign on the road but we didn't even get the change to see any. Maybe it's because we

Checking Out Devils Golf Course

"Only the Devil could play golf" This was our second stop on our journey to Death Valley National Park California. Devils Golf Course is about half a mile from the main road on a gravel road but most vehicle shouldn't have any problems driving there. There's not much to do there but definitely worth checking out. It really is interesting to see and absolutely unique salt crystal formations and it goes for miles in the middle of the valley of Death Valley National Park. We visited in January and great timing for visiting the place. It was sunny but breezy. Really cool weather and we were the only ones there exploring the area until we were about to leave, two cars came in. It was a great time to visit Death Valley. Please check our video below...way way down below to see more of the Devils Golf Course. Also check the other places we've explored while we were in the Death Valley National Park California.  5. Beautiful one way loop on the scenic Artist Drive to Artist's Palette

Beautiful 9 mile scenic loop drive on a nice one way road with wonderful colors on the hillside - it's the  Artist Drive in Death Valley National Park. Nice paved road but it does get narrower and twisty on some parts hence vehicle over 25 feet is prohibited on this road. There are few pull outs but the Artists Palette is located about 5 miles from the start of the Artist Drive. This drive is one of the most scenic and amazing drive in Death Valley National Park.  This was our 5th stop on our journey to Death Valley National Park.  4. Natural Bridge  3. Beautiful drive on Artist Drive The start of Artist Drive - One way 9 mile scenic Loop The First pullout - short little hike to the top of the hill I did a short hike from the first pullout. I do not recommend it if you're running out of time but it is a nice short walk up there. The views are amazing! Nic
