Spectacular Dantes View

Image
It was well worth a long drive (a lonely road) to Dantes View. This was our last stop on our first day of journey to Death Valley National Park California. It was already 3:30 pm when we left the main road and it took us about 20 minutes to get there. A 13 mile paved road but the last quarter mile is 15% grade. A steep climb up but so beautiful. Vehicles over 25ft or longer are prohibited on this road. Please watch our short video  Road to Dantes View  to see the road.  There were few cars when we arrived at The Dantes View but those people were out exploring around. It wasn't crowded at all in fact we were the only ones there enjoying the 360 degrees of breathtaking view of Death Valley from 5475 ft high above Sea Level.  We didn't stay long because it was windy and cold.  It would have been nice to explore the area but it was also getting late in a day. There was a Bee Hazard caution sign on the road but we didn't even get the change to see any. Maybe it's because we

Woke up to Itchy Rashes/Hives

Image
I woke up in my hotel room early Tuesday morning to an itchy rashes on my right hand. I started scratching and it felt like my whole body's itching. I took my blanket off and sure enough, I have rashes/hives all over me. This is how it looks like when I woke up the first day. I have never had something like that before. I called my doctor and he told me to get Claritin, zyrtec, and benadryl. Few minutes after I took claritin, the hives started to clear and so was the itchiness. However, after few hours it came back again. Rashes/hives came and go. It changes forms but it didn't matter how it looks, it was pretty itchy. When I got home from my trip, I took benadryl and went to bed. After couple hours, I woke up feeling nauseous and just didn't felt good at all. I went to ER, the doctor gave me benadryl IV and prednisone. After few minutes, skin cleared again. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, itchy rashes/hives was on and off. Sometimes it was more of an on t

What I ate at the State Fair?

Image
I just had to do it. Been thinking about it since they opened. Tanana Valley State Fair started last week and will end this weekend. It was warm and sunny after work today, so we decided to visit the fairground and eat the food I've been craving for. Elephant ears and kettle corn Old fashion pretzel with cheese Huge Turkey leg with bbq sauce Although, we didn't do much but ate, I felt so satisfied with my visit to the fair.

Almost A Head on Collision

Image
On our way back to Alaska from California, driving through Canada, we almost got a head on collision due to this reckless driver.

I'm feeling the hazardous wildfire smoke

Image
Smoke from wildfires is so dense that the air quality rating went from unhealthy to hazardous here in Fairbanks Alaska. I have been congested for over a week now, coughing, nose running, sinus pressure, headaches, the whole thing. And having the wildfires smokes,  making what I'm feeling and having right now from bad to worse. On the other side, my garden is doing so well. I love it!

It's greener on the other side

RV Tire Blowout

Image
We were on I5 in Oregon when we heard a big pop sound. We exited the highway and turned into Love's gas station. It was early evening but most of the tire service shop in the area are about to closed or were already closed. The mechanic at Love's Gas Station said he could have changed the tire that blowout but he didn't have the right size for it. He however helped us parked at their parking lot so we can stay overnight. At 730am the next day we drove and parked at the Industrial Tire Shop before they opened. We were their first customer. They serviced us before they even open for business. We decided to have all 4 tires in the back changed. Industrial Tire Service - we received a great customer service from them. This is the tire that blowout Those tires were hard to pop out They worked hard and fast. They got it done and we're our of there in just one hour.  Love's Gas Station where we parked overnight. Parking lot for big truc
