Ferries are a great way to explore the Seattle area. You can take a ferry from Seattle to Bremerton, or from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, or from Seattle to Vashon Island. Ferries depart every half hour to an hour and rides last about 30 to 60 minutes depending on where you are going.

There are 2 ferry companies that runs the Seattle-Bremerton ferry route.
- Washington State Ferry - for foot passengers as well as vehicles. It'll take about an hour ride.
- Kitsap Fast Ferry - Foot Passengers only. Crossing time about 30 minute ferry ride.
The ferry from Seattle to Bremerton is a great way to spend a day, especially if you love the water. It's also a great way to get off the city grid and explore the Puget Sound. The water is always changing and there are plenty scenery to enjoying.

- Bremerton Marina- The Bremerton Marina is a great place to spend the day if you're looking for a boat ride or need to find some fish.
- Bremerton Boardwalk - A waterfront hub with beautiful view of the marina.
- Harborside Fountain Park - Nice little park next to the ferry terminal. Beautiful Landscape with rocks features and water fountain. Fall colors are awesome!
- Kitsap History Museum - The historical museum's mission is to tell the stories of Bremerton, Washington and Kitsap County through artifacts, memorabilia, photographs and more. The museum also has a theater, an interactive children's area called "Growing up in Bremerton", an outdoor exhibit garden and a rotating exhibition gallery that houses changing exhibits showcasing various aspects of the county's history.
- USS Turner Joy - A battleship museum. Learn and explore the inside of the ship.
- Puget Sound navy Museum - Entrance is free and a must see when in Bremerton. A short 3 minute walk from the Ferry Dock. Lots to see here!
