Morning of June 9th, after we got our breakfast from Downtown Bellingham Washington, we took a little road trip up to Mt. Baker - Heather Meadows Base Ski Area. But on our way up there, we did a short stop and visited the Nooksack Falls. It is well worth the stop. The beauty of nature is amazing and it is a convenient stop when going up to Mt. Baker.
Nooksack Falls is about 43 miles from Bellingham. There is a good signage on the road and it was easy to spot. A short drive down to parking lot from WA-542 scenic highway. We missed the small parking lot and drove to the other side of the bridge, a one way bridge. The parking lot is actually on left side just before the bridge and from the parking lot, it was a short walk to the right going to waterfall viewing area.

A beautiful stream flowing down to the Nooksack river. The water, trees, mosses, and ferns are all spectacular. This view is on the right side of the road going down to the parking lot of Nooksack Falls.

Amazing Nooksack Falls The water then merges to the the river next to it |

It is very steep and dangerous that is why the viewing area is fenced in. Few people have died here from falling. Be careful and stay behind the fence. |

One way Bridge If you drive through there, you've passed the parking lot just like we did!
