First day of training

I did 3 miles for 44 minutes carrying 26.6 pounds of weight. Oh I'm tired and sore! But my goal is to get 3 miles in less than 45 minutes carrying 45 pounds. Well see. I have a month to train.
I'm training to get ready for pack testing in May. It's part of Fire Familarization Program. The participants will get exposed to wildland firefighting. I'm not going to be a firefighter, I just want to gain a valuable experience and hopefully use what I learned to be more effective at what I do.
