Uncomfortable Toddler Being Constipated

I felt bad for my toddler last night, he had a hard time falling to sleep and every hour or so, he wakes up acting like he needs to use the bathroom. He was stomping his feet and groaning. I heard him passing gas, then he mumbled, and then he goes back to sleep. He did that like 5 to 6 times last night. He felt so uncomfortable and I didn't know how to help him. He finally was able to have bowel movement this morning, few minutes after we got out of bed.
He had been constipated for 3 days now and didn't have any appetite to eat. All he wants to take was his milk and water, sometimes he'll take a bite or two but be lucky to get the two. I do give him apple juice everyday and give him lots of water to drink but I guess that wasn't enough for him to not be constipated. I know his lacking some fiber on his diet but how can he get it if he doesn't want to eat? Anyway, I will be on search on how and what's the best way for him get it until he gets his appetite back and start eating again.
